Onan 5.5 (HJGAB) gasoline powered genset.

Fuel filter(s) change is recommended at 450 hrs. There 2 different fuel filters on this genset. (see filters circled in orange) You use the same Onan fuel filter # 0149-2629 to replace each existing fuel filter. Note, the item circled in yellow is the fuel pump.

Excellent online vendor to buy Onan/Generac parts from and other RV related circuit boards, etc. is here. Pricing is in competitive range and they have a good data base.

Example: Onan fuel pump for 5.5 Onan. Part # 149-2620. Price $53.79

I just changed mine yesterday. Just a quick tip. Before removing the hose clamp and fuel line hose, put a clamp of some kind on the hose. This prevents gas from running down your arm . I learned the hard way. . . . with gas running down my arm.

Greetings,
I have been getting code 36 from my ONAN, changed the Fuel Filter, and still having issues.
It acts like fuel pump, any way to verify, new ones are over 100 bucks!
thanx
