Onan 5.5 HGJAC Hi ambient Temp shutdown

Generator has driven me around the bend since RV purchased used. RV in and out of various shops. Problem was shutting down at high ambient outside temperature. High means above 80'F.

Solution: replaced the fuel pump with Amazon's Airtex E11015, as stated so often within these and the SmokStak threads.

Good job on fixing your problem. I had the same thing with my 5.5 on our old Itasca. It would run fine in cooler weather, but shut down in 20 minutes at ambient temps above 80 degrees. A new Airtex fuel pump also fixed my problem.
