I think the manual specifies the process. On mine it is a small screw plug on the bottom of the muffler on the generator. All I do is remove it per instructions and seems like I have to run the engine 1/2 hour under load?

i think that is the procedure (remove screw / run generator) but i also seem to remember it is recommended to be done at 500 hours. ours is a lp model and the onan guy in avondale az said i really don't have to do it.
