Looking for verification on fuel filter part# for the 7500 diesel genset. Are most all the same #149-2513?

Just beware of inferior brands. I mostly stay with Fleetguard filters.

Good point. I have seen Fleetguard branded oil filters on Amazon for half price. If you look closely you will see the printing on the filter is not quite right. Oil filters are cheap when considering the cost of a diesel engine repair.

Boy 500 hrs change intervals I saw in the manual seem really long?

Once you go through the dripping down your arm diesel fuel and all the mess it makes you'll appreciate the change interval.
