It is still under warranty and I am currently trying to find a mobile tech that's Onan certified.

Error 36 simply means that the engine has died and the controller has no clue as to why. All it knows is it didn't stop the engine and there were no conditions it detected that would cause a shutdown.
The reason people say it is the fuel pump/filter is because it is very common that this is the reason the engine was starved for fuel and just died.
On my 10K Onan Gen my issue for Code 36 wasn't the fuel pump or the filter or the supply. It was the Onan control board itself would stop supplying the correct Voltage to run the fuel pump. Apparently there is a thermal protection built on the board and when this fails it will intermittently work and not work. I hooked up a meter to the fuel pump and watched the voltage to the pump go from 13VDC to 0VDC - 3VDC. When this happened the engine died and Code 36 comes up.
My fix was to replace the Control Board. Mine was not under warranty and the prices for an OEM Onan board were out of control. So I used an aftermarket board from Flight-Systems and that fixed my issue. Also Flight-Systems boards fixed the design flaw from Onan as well as added extra protections and checks to the gen itself.
Since you are under warranty you need to have an authorized servicer fix yours. Last I checked for my board from Onan it was on Backorder. Don't know about yours. Good luck!
