Generator runs for about 5 min and shuts down. Oil level is good.

Maybe do a search. That seems to be a common problem these days
If it senses a overheat(it is overheating or is a bad sensor) it will do as u post.

There is a Cummins shop in Albuquerque that could help. I don't remember the name.

Does it shut down while driving or parked ? If parked, is the RV level or off level ? Shutting down while driving or parked off level is sometimes caused by a faulty low oil sensor.

I ran mine and it would only run about 30 min. First thing that was done was the fuel filter was blown out and the fuel line was bled out to ensure the line was clear. Started it up and it ran 5 hours and then quit again. Again it would only run about 30 min to an hour. I then took it to an onan distributor and they ran it and figured out it was the fuel pump. They are replacing the fuel pump and filter at this time.

I would try to clean the bottom filter and front filter first and pull the fuel filter and let some fuel run out. Hopefully this will help.
Oh the replacement of the fuel filter and pump is not cheap.
Wish you the best!
