I started the generator today after seeing the screen blinking and ran it for 30 minutes. No problems. I've been using shore power for a month now. What does Ignition ON & OFF mean?

Not sure what you mean by 'screen blinking on and off '.

I believe the 'Ignition' screen is part of the auto gen settings.

Say you enable auto start. Then you move the vehicle to an enclosed storage area. (Ignition was turned on then off. ) To prevent auto start and a carbon monoxide danger, auto start is disabled. In your case by the ignition being used. I think other settings might be other choices that disable auto start, like taking the vehicle out of park. So depending on the manufacture wiring you choose what action disables auto start.

It's been years since I read my manual, but that is what comes to mind.

I think auto start is also disabled every 30 days as a precaution.

Ok. This morning I pushed the Main and Aux Battery switches off and then back on. The small screen is now staying off (dark).
If you look at my attached photo in my first post, you can see the screen is lit.

See the owners manual or go on line with Onan and check out Frequently Asked Questions or I believe Onan May have a tech chat line available. My first hunch is it won’t affect how you are configured at this time.

The Ignition On/Off flashing indicates the control has not noticed a change in this safety input in 30 days. Just turn your ignition on and back off to reset it. The manual says there are 3 different Safety inputs that are monitored for changes every 30 days. https://power.cummins.com/sites/defa.../900-0541B.pdf
