Onan QG 2800i ???
In a recent motorhome magazine I see a full page ad for an Onan QG 2800i which implies an inverter generator but no details were given, just a large photo captioned “Still in the night”.
A google search finds nothing, even at Cummins site, anyone know more about this?

I called Cummins, rep didn’t know anything about it........so, maybe some new kind of marketing to generate interest?
anyone at a recent rv show heard anything?

crickets........
Called Cummins again today, asked if maybe I could talk to someone in product marketing, reply was “we don’t have product marketing”. While we were chatting the customer service rep quoted this thread.....lol! Told him it was my post!
anyway, still anxiously waiting for a product announcement from “Product Marketing” beyond the vapor in the March 2020 Motorhome mag!

so far, this looks like someone in marketing dreamed this up and didn’t tell anyone but Motorhome Mag March 2020

Did A Google search for onan QG 2880i and you will find info for it. I just did the search and it brought up the 2800 series generators

did you find a QG 2800i
there are many predecessors but no new “i” which implies inverter (quiet and slower rpm)
sorry the image is not very clear, it states the “new” QG 2800i , quieter and vibrates less than other models....if they produce an inverter model, I’ll be at the front of the line, the standard Onan 2800 is way to loud and shakey, had one, won’t do it again, it’s a honda 2200 for me until then.....

I think you are looking for the 2500i if you are looking for an inverter generator.

did you see the ad I posted? clearly states QG 2800i in a class B
maybe a misprint?

getting it in with a floor jack was a balancing act! (shoulda joined the circus!)
all hooked up except for the 12 supply, having trouble finding 2 awg wires to fab it together, all the auto stores near are out and hurricane took out the bridge to town so town is now many hours round trip :(
was reading up on the genny, appears to be efi instead of carb, bonus!
