Oxygenics shower head trickles when shut off flow at head

Hi,

My newly fitted Oxygenics shower head trickles water when I shut off flow.

My wife reckons its a safety device so you know to turn the shower off. Also I read its to stop scalding.

Does this sound correct?

Thanks,

It's supposed to keep some, but minimal flow when you lather up to keep the water mixing, so you don't get scalded or frozen when you switch it back on.

To keep the plastic hose from bursting. If you looked through the supplied shut off valve, you would see that it does not fully close.

Mine came with the same push button shut off valve...I installed it at the faucet end of the hose rather than the shower head end of the hose. We find it a much more convenient location for the push button. And yes it does have a slow dribble when off.
