Placement of freezer temp sensor

Dometic NDA 1402.

Freezer used to work great. 5-10 degrees was not unusual.

Last weekend freezer was around 30 degrees. (Fridge worked fine at 34 degrees)

I noticed what I think is a temp sensor hanging in the middle of the freezer. I'm wondering if this is the cause. Where should it be placed?

Sorry for the sideways pic!

The displaced sensor could very well be your issue. There are sensors in the freezer and refrigerator box that sense frost and temperature. Use this manual to determine which sensor is hanging down and its proper placement.

Thanks so much. Read this very closely and did not find any information relative to positioning of this sensor.

That sensor goes into a bracket that is on the 'air distributor' towards the bottom end
