Portable macerator power
I am getting closer to picking up a portable macerator. At the moment it has mostly come down to price vs when will will need it and how much we will need it.
I have a 60 gallon tank mounted on my truck that I will use for waste water while we are boondocking for longer than a week. The tank still needs a little work before it is ready to use also
Since this system will typically be used with the truck I am thinking about using the trailer connector as my power source. There is all ready a 10 ga wire feeding the constant power. My concern is that from the battery to the outlet is almost 20' and I would be adding 20-25' from the connector to the macerator. Is that too much voltage loss?
I will not be using the macerator at a dump site so I am not in a rush to transfer if I can only run a few minutes at a time to keep it cool.

how many amps does the macerator need? Assuming 5 amps, and 10 gauge wire, with a 45 foot run, if you are at full charge, 12.8 VDC, your voltage drop should be about .5 volts, meaning your macerator would be seeing about 12.1-12.2 volts.

It does not show draw, even in the manual, just that it needs to be on a 20 amp fused circuit.

We have property in NE WA, and no septic. I use a macerator into a 65 gal tank. Fitted the outlet with a 1-1/2" bulkhead ftg and adapted a 3" sewer valve. Pump into tank through a 90 deg pvc fitting in top of tank with 3/4" garden hose thread. Use 3/4" water hose to the tank. The macerator is powered through an Andersen (son??) connector on trlr tonque wired to batteries. I am using 10ga wire and SAE connectors to reach the pump at the trailer dump valve, about 10ft from tongue. Works super. Also use the tongue connection to run water pump to fill trailer from blue jugs until well is finished. That connection is aboot 25+ ft and the 10ga (have multiple lengths) works just fine with the RV water pump I use.
I have run the macerator for an almost full tank (40 gal) and flush without any heating or stalling. Dumping is a bit slower with the 1-1/2" outlet in tank, but no more so than a grey tank with the same size outlet.

I live in NE WA.
What you do sounds similar to what I am planning. The aux wast tank has a 1.5" outlet, but again I am in no rush.
I will try it with the trailer connector, if that is not enough power I can hook something else up. I was just trying for simplicity.

Portable macerator power
I was thinking it might be easier to connect the macerator to your trailer batteries I have the Sanicon Turbo 300 connected to my house batteries with the trolling motor connector and the macerator hooks on the waste pipe

I have a portable Sanicon poop grinder and when I need to use it, I clip the leads directly to my house batteries.

Aaahhh, yes, if I wanted to build a whole new system that would make sense. The question was about wanting to use existing systems.
If I am going to install a whole new system, I would go with a much heavier connection as the make a similar connector that is rated for 4 ga. This would allow me to tie my truck and trailer together for battery sharing/maintaining/charging. I would then be able to power the macerator with the same male plug off either the truck or the trailer. Either way the cable length will end up being about the same.
The macerator I am looking at does not come with any leads so I will have to make my own. In theory a plug that hooks right into my trailer outlet on the truck would be easiest since it readily accessible. In theory I could access my batteries but I do not have an OEM system and accessing the buss bars takes some effort.
