Propane Ceramic Space Heaters

There's a promo sub-thread (?) on the site from an RVer recommending a Camco57341 Wave-[number] (they have Wave-8) Safety Heater, propane fueled, safe for interior use. Anybody have experience with one of these?

Their contribution shows very clear photos of the T they made off the propene line just before the OEM heater, the line running through cabinets, and the heater in use in the middle of the floor. The poster said they use it dry camping when they can't plug an electric space heater into shore power. It's presented as a more economical and silent alternative to the OEM furnace and without a drain on batteries.

It states on the Camping World website, "For use in vented areas only."

For $20 the leg stand is a nice addition. Comes in a 2-pack.

Piece mentions they have to crack a window to provide combustion air, but we have to do that at home with our fireplace.

Burning propane in a heater like that will add a lot of water to the inside of the RV.

Almost like it was designed to work best.

I have have both Wave 6 and Wave 8 heaters. I have used them in a 32 foot class A when boondocking. I always leave a window open a small bit. The advantage of a Wave heater over a furnace is that the Wave does not use electricity. The built in furnace in the RV would run the batteries flat overnite unless connected to shore power. I use the built in furnace if I am in a campground with electric service.
