Propane water heater issue possibly related to high humidity

Background: I'm going into my 4th year as a full timer with a 2015 Fleetwood Bounder that I purchased new. I have an issue with my propane water heater that has occurred for the second year in a row at this location and time of year on the Texas coast. I spend most of the year in the more desertous western states without any issues.

When winds are low and it is generally cloudy here on Magnolia Beach, the propane heater will ignite and run for a few minutes and suddenly stop. It will make several attempts to re-ignite but, ultimate, a fault light will go on.

After we have had 25+ mph winds and sunny skies, the propane heater works fine. Invariably the issue occurs when the winds are calm.

Let me know if you have any suggestions to diagnose and advice to resolve the problem.

I would start with the connection to the board. unplug the board and clean the board where the wire plugs in. (use a pencil eracer)

May try adjusting the flame. There are plenty of utube videos on maintenance for the hot water heater. Minimum tools needed and maintenance is fairly easy. I replaced my thermostats and burner tube this year to fix the problem you list. Parts were available on Amazon..

Check the orifice to see if it's restricted. You should be able to see it through the air shutter. Look for a buildup of crap on it.

Spark electrode is used as pathway for the Flame Proven signal......flame ionization generates a milliamp signal that goes back to circuit bd and proves flame lit. No signal and circuit bd shuts down DC to gas valve and triggers Fault Light

Being just a few milliamps it is easy for the signal to NOT return due to dirty/loose connections:
*at circuit bd
*at electrode wire terminal
*at ceramic insulator on electrode
*or ground connection(s)----spark electrode assembly mounting screw provides a ground source plus the circuit bd ground wire

High humidity could cause signal to track to ground via a cracked ceramic insulator or at connector on circuit bd
