Question about Bogart TriMetric 2025-RV battery monitor

I purchased this unit and a 500 amp shunt to monitor my batteries.
It just came in the mail and there's no where to hook up the wires.
I took the 4 screws off the face plate and I can see a 6 pin plug and 5 wire terminal. Am I supposed to cut out the hole for feeding the wires through?
Also, what is the plug for, what plugs into it?

I got it now, I just saw the instructions NEEDED ITEMS, a drill for making a small hole to permit wires to enter the meter box.

You bought the best upgrade. I think every MH needs a good battery monitor. I use my 2025 to monitor my TV usage and solar output. My sat and TV draw 16 amps, I start charging my batteries when the solar gets to around 200 watts.

Recommend using the 5th wire to (monitor only) the chassis battery. Install a 2 amp fuse at the battery connection.

You will be surprised how much current draw the house lights pull. made me switch to led bulbs.

It is piece of mind, being able to see that all my batteries are at 100% charge before going to bed and waking up to see that I still have 72% after running the furnace all night.
