Quiet Diesel Issue

I have a Quiet Diesel 10000 that quit on me today . I see that it has error code 45 which states that it is the control board and I can smell the typical burnt electronic smell when I remove the side cover. Currently boondocking so I donít want to pull it apart to confirm till I get home this weekend.
My question is, does anyone know a good source/dealer who would likely stock a control board. Would like to get one one the way as we head back out later next week. I do have my model number and serial ready to make some calls tomorrow

Thank you!

Try these guys - the specialize in older and obsolete replacement electronics. Not sure about a 10kw diesel but they have a lot of Onan replacement boards. If you don't see yours listed, give the a call.

Dinosaur would be good if they make a board for yours, they didn't for my 12.5
HDKCB Control Assembly 300-5961. Another company is Flight Systems

Thank you

I have contacted Flight Systems. I need the same part number you listed per Cummins Tech Support. Going to disassemble the generator tomorrow afternoon when we get home just to confirm that the board is toast since their restocking fee is 25%.

I pulled the covers off the generator, belt was bad but not broken so I replaced it and the fuel filter even though it didnít have many hours on it. Took a look at the control board and there werenít any signs of component meltdown and the electrical burnt smell did not seem to come from it. Smells like itís coming from the windings . Started generator, cranked and started fine and immediately died. Did this a couple times, no change. Started again and held start button down and it continued to run for about 15 seconds and died again. Now displaying code 32 which doesnít make sense as it cracks just fine and fires immediately. Have a call into a local certified Onan Tech. Itís unfortunate that Onan provides zero information to owners regarding their generators. I went on their site and they wouldnít let me view the parts manual for my generator without a login. Thankfully the part number was still visible on my belt so I could cross reference it.
Hoping to hear from the Mobil Tech today. Going to question him a bit regarding his experience and knowledge prior to hiring him as there are not many big rigs up in my current area.

Parts Catalog and Wet Starting

Attached is a link for the Onan 10KW parts catalog that I just found today. Maybe this will be helpful.

https://www.rvtechlibrary.com/genera...n10KWparts.pdf

My Generator has been running fine up until I was heading home this past week in a tremendous rain storm. It wouldn't start and gave an error code. I just brought it on home and the next day I went out tried to start and got a code 32. So, I started checking cables and voltages, all was good up to the generator power connections. I decided I would just wait until I got a good day to delve further into things. Found parts catalogs and maintenance info. Went out with a plan to start checking things out, 2 days had passed. The generator started and has run fine today. I'm thinking something/wiring got wet and created issues, after ample time drying all is working. Any ideas on what would be wet to effect starting? Any experiences on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be looking around for wiring loose or possible areas that might get wet and impact proper connections.

Thank you for posting the parts manual. I also checked all of my connections at the generator and the frame ground. Pulled each one off and sanded everything and still have the code 32. Hope to hear from a Tech tomorrow. Hate the thought of using a Tech as I have never had to.
