Rear AC on separate circuit

Hi all I have a Discovery with a 30-amp system. My problem is that when Its hot and I would like to run both front and rear ACs it presents a power or lack of it issue. I would like to run the rear off a separate circuit. Could I just locate the breaker and disconnect it and reconnect it to another cord that would be plugged into the 20amp at the pedestal? Would the 12v control still work? I have been thinking about this for awhile and am ready to move on it. If anyone out there could enlighten me, I would appreciate it. Thanks

This works for me on a 30amp 20 amp power post. On my Dutch star i run a 12 2 Romex to the basement and back up to the coach panel using a 20 amp plug and connector for my # 2 A/C ---Just unplug and run a 12/2 or 10/2 so cord to power post and use the 20 amp 110 volt . This will bypass the coach panel until you plug it back in. The post breaker will then be the protection for the AC.----This was from my post a few years ago and the person is still using it that owns the coach now.

Yes you can do that. Just make sure it is disconnected from the breaker in the power center.

It can be done. Click on this LINK.

I modified my 30A service to add a 15/20A power cord so I can run both Air Conditioners from shore power.

I've been using it for several years and it works well. I had problems with the 20A circuit breaker. Even though the A/C draws about 10A when running it would eventually trip the circuit breaker. I have changed to a T20 fuse. The fuse has NEVER blown.

See the attached updated drawing.
