I monitor mine very closely with a min/max indoor outdoor thermometer and recently noticed my temps were staying in the low 40s, even with a fin temp of about 21 without door activity instead of the typical mid to high 30s..well..I checked the backs of my freezers to find a pretty heavy layer of frost/ice on both sides....also, my 12V fin fan was accidentally engaged, touching the fins and operating, where previously I decided the fridge got cooler withOUT in running...I de-iced the freezers and disconnected the interior fan and all is well again with temps back in the 37 degree range...something to keep in mind....the back of the freezer!!
