Refer on sale at the orange big box store

For those considering the switch to a residential fridge, I just bought a Visani 9.9 cf unit at said store for $298. With the doors removed, it measures 22 1/4" deep, which will slide right through the doorway of my rig. I imagine it would fit through most peoples' doors. I don't know if all stores have this unit and have it on sale, but I thought I'd share the information.

What was the cu ft size/model of the rv fridge that the Visani replaced? The Visani you mentioned was one that was considered when we replaced our Dometic NDR1062(10.6cu ft) rv fridge last March. We ultimately decided on the Haier 10.2cu ft in the black color.

I'm replacing a Dometic. It's in the 7 cf range. I too was going to put in a Haier, but this one at this price is nearly $100 less than the Haier. I couldn't pass up the deal.

Both brands seem to be good. Just got to the point where I didn't trust rv fridges any more. We have a 2000w msw inverter/charger and (4) 6v batteries that would be adequate for the fridge but I bought a 1000w pure sine wave inverter from donrowe.com and will have it installed before next spring. Feel more comfortable using this as some fridges might work better from what I've been told. Later and good luck with your fridge.
