Refrigerator issue

I have a 2015 Jayco Greyhawk 29 ME class C Motorhome. When I attempt to switch my refrigerator from Electric to LP it gives me a F for failure to ignite. I press the mode button for it to recycle but it goes back to F. Stove and oven work fine.
Any thoughts?

Thank you.
Bill

Hi Bill! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

You need to find out if the igniter is working. Have someone else switch it to LP while you are outside watching the burner tube to see if it sparks. If ther's no spark you may have a bad control board.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Joe has given you the best way to track down the possible problem.

Please post the make/model of your fridge.

The gas valve opens with a noticeable “click” at the same time the igniter sparks. Listen for the valve opening and listen for the “tick, tick” of the igniter. If you hear neither, you have a power issue to them, likely from the control board.

If you hear the valve open but not the igniter, could be a bad igniter, bad connection, bad spark module, or bad board.

Do a little checking and report back.

Has it been awhile since fridge used propane?
May take several attempts before propane flow is fully established to fridge gas valve

As suggested above.. may be issue with spark electrode, gas valve, circuit board etc
*DC is OK otherwise you would not have display or AC Operation

Brand/Model of fridge????
Suspect Norcold N62X/N82X Series
See pg. 12 for troubleshooting flow chart
