Refrigerator Latch

Looking for a solution to help hold the refrigerator closed in our motorhome. Our coach is equipped with a residential refrigerator, and the motorhome manufacturer (Tiffin) installed these simple metal clips to hold the fridge closed. We've found that when the door of the fridge is loaded, it can overcome that latch, particularly when the latch becomes slightly misaligned (which, due to how it was originally installed from Tiffin, happens frequently). All of the solutions that I've looked at on Amazon, eTrailer, Camping World, etc., all fasten to the side of the refrigerator, which in my installation, is inside of the cabinet. Looking for a solution that has the attachment point in the same plane as the refrigerator door. Photos and links would be a great help.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately our refrigerator is not a side by side, it is a top freezer model.

Campfamily, here are snapshots for the lock referenced in post 2.
Snapshot 1 shows the lock knob attached to the refrigerator. This secures both the Top Freezer Door, and the Bottom Refrigerator Door.
Squeezing the buttons on the top and bottom of the lock knob will release the lock.
Snapshot 2 shows the latch that is mounted between the Top and Bottom Doors.
When the lock knob is removed, it is attached to a plate with 2 sided tape that can be mounted where you want.

Hope that this helps.

Refer latch

Here's what l did with my double door refrigerator with upper freezer... I took one of these door props and cut it in half and used the side where the door mount can be reversed put a screw that matches thread pattern then drilled a small hole then l made a pin to drop in it with a soft piece of foam keep the lower door from opening while the top of pin keeps the freezer from opening also low cost and works great. See picture of part

Thanks, everyone, for the ideas and suggestions. I'm going to try the QDOS solution recommended by Tim (@TB673). Got one on order from Amazon now, next time I'm out at the coach I will try it out!!

Again, thanks for the responses!

Keith
