Refrigerator replacement RV door too narrow
I have a 1985 Tiffin Allegro that I need to replace the fridge, but the RV door opening is only 23 inches wide but the narrowest dimension on the fridge is 24 inches.
Looking for any advise. Can the RV door frame be removed reasonably? I haven't started trying yet, but it looks like the opening without the door frame is 25.5 inches.

The wife and I replaced the fridge in our coach. The old one and the new fridge were both too wide. No way either was going through the door.
Ended up removing the window over the booth dinette and renting a material lift from Home Depot for the heavy lifting.

Your only options are to remove the door or a window.

how deep is the fridge without the doors?

If you can't get the doors off and get it to fit, your only entry may be through a window. The windows are not that hard to remove and reinstall.

I had a frig replaced on a 2010 Fleetwood Class C and frig guys had to remove a window to make the swap

Try taking off the fridge doors or pop out a window and toss it out.

Agree with others regarding dinette window removal. This is what I had to do also. The Norcold went out the entry door fine...but the new Frigidaire needed 'just a little bit more room' to go.....so we removed the window. That worked okay.
Use a non-silicone based sealant to reseal the window. It dries clear.

I too think that removing a side window and using a forklift to get it in would be the easiest way! JMHO

When our old Dometic died, I replaced it with a similar multi-fuel Dometic fridge. I had to take the doors and hardware off both to get it through our mid door.

Another idea to consider, the amish conversion system. Keep your old fridge, change the cooling unit, keep your old modified sine wave inverter/converter instead of buying a new pure sine wave inverter for new fridge. No removal of door or window either, just a thought.

All of my measuring says it is almost an inch too big to fit even with the doors off.
The old fridge is a Norcold. The replacement is a Dometic RM2811. Not new, but newer than the original.
