Refrigerator Swap? Or Not?

We're moving from a vintage (2000) fifth wheel into a vintage (1993) motor home. The fifth wheel has a very nice 8 cu ft Dometic refrigerator/freezer that we have enjoyed. The 6 cf Norcold unit in the MH looks worse for wear.

I told the best thing about me that we should do the swap. She feels 1. Not fair to the buyer of the fifth wheel. 2. A lot of work.

Work is what I do, character flaw of the worst kind, so, opinions?

Any swap/upgrade I made would involve a new unit.
I wouldn't put the time and effort into one with any age to it no matter how well it seemed to be functioning.
Have fun!

I couldn't agree more!

As said, consider a residential fridge if there is room. Without a doubt, THE best upgrade I've done to date.

Swapping is a bad idea. Residential almost as bad. ;-)

I don't know anyone who has added a residential fridge and later said "dang, I wish I had that old absorption uint back".

Why would you not leave the fridge alone. Why drop value of trailer. Add work for yourself. Buy new for vintage. A lot of mods for two units for used or mods for one vintage. Also you wouldn't want to be ripped off why would you want to rip off someone.
