Removing draft can assembly on Atwood furnace

Been troubleshooting both Atwood furnaces on my coach (8531/8520 series) and when I attempt to remove the draft cap assembly (aka exhaust tube), the sucker seems rusted/stuck in place. Been prying it and lightly knocking it with small tools and wiggled and waggled it for over 1/2 hour and it still will not budge.

Don't want to pry off the lightly welded chrome piece that is attached to the tube at the front, but I have thought of using some rust removal chemicals or whatever.

I know there is one wing nut that attaches it to the side of blower motor housing, and that has been removed. Still no luck.

Anyone else had this problem and what did you do?

Thanks,

Just remove the WHOLE assembly, easier that way.
Turn off Propane. Disconnect propane line. Disconnect wires.
Remove all the screws on the outside.
Gently using a putty knife break sealant
Remove now you can work on it and check the air flow hole into duct-work

From the looks of the furnace, it seems like it would not matter if you work on the draft cap assembly with the furnace installed in the motorhome, or on your work bench as everything is still hidden from view except from outside the vent opening looking in. I had thought about that, but I don't think it would make a difference for my particular issue.

Thanks anyways
