Removing oven?

So we have never been fan of the so call rv oven.

We consider removing the entire unit and installing Only a stove top burners. Thus allowing us to use the oven space for storage.

Any thoughts?

My wife makes great chocolate chip cookies in the camper oven and even cooks our turkey for Thanksgiving in the oven. We also store our pots/pans/cutting boards in the oven when not being used, so the space is always being used.

We removed the cook top/oven and replaced with a 2 burner drop in induction and a drawer style dish washer. Even had room below for a cookie sheet storage rack

Doing it the other way around taking out the cook top and installing a stove/0ven unit for a customer. It will get used twice a year.

Would never buy an RV without a oven. Once you,learn the basics of cooking with gas they do a good job. We have cooked piza, meat loaf, cookies, what ever we wanted with great results.

It's easy to use the oven area for storage. We've done it for years. Open the door and put in the bread, chips, whatever. Close door. Done. Oh yeah, it's easy to convert back to an oven too.

What you want is, well, what you want. Many times I've read the axiom "make it yours". IMO the single most important item to perform is to cap-off the LP line to the present LP oven and top burners before the flexible LP line that is used for ALL slide-out installations. This eliminates a possible LP leak in the future.
This MH is the first RV we ever owned without a conventional oven. It took DW almost 6 months to learn how to use the convection/electric oven; once she did she hasn't found anything she cannot bake in the convection/electric oven. Ever eaten BBQ ribs slow-cooked in the oven? Mmm good.

Replaced the stove/oven with a cooktop in ours back in 2008. We already had the excellent GE Advantium convection/micro, so why waste valuable space on a propane oven that is at best a crappy oven anyway.

I took out cooktop and added oven cook top,wife says got to have oven.

We have a dishwasher instead of the oven and would rather have the oven. It does have an older pre-convection microwave/electric heat oven that we don't like. Heats up the coach too much, takes forever to preheat, after baking something can't use the microwave for a long time. I've thought about dumping the DW for a RV oven.
