Pretty sure those dont come with a low temp sensor.
I may be wrong, just research before pulling the card out.

I have a 22’ TT, do a lot of dry camping, have minimal electric use, and my 190 watt solar panel has done the job. I’m looking to purchase a new battery this week.

If you look at there instruction manual they do have a low temp charging cut off.
"The battery contains a battery management system (BMS) that warns the user and protects the battery from overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, high temperature, and low temperature. Please refer to the following table for the triggering and recovery condition of each warning and protection."
This is from their manual.

Curious about this battery I looked up Will Prowess’s review of the Renogy battery and he seems to like it:

Does anyone have any experience with this battery?

The previous review was on their older battery. The bluetooth battery is brand new and was just released. Their spec sheet plainly states that low temp is protected as stated in their manual which I copied above. The review referenced above is from June 2020

I’m thinking about buying this battery. If I only have 190 watts of solar, would it be pointless to buy a 200 AH battery?

I purchased and installed 4 of those batteries on sale last summer, used them on a week long trip in august didn't have any problems, they do have a low temp charging cutoff. we use a lot of power for my wifes' O2 concentrator that runs all night and we don't run the generator. they did the job much better than the 5 100ah lead acid batteries i had previously. they charge up much faster, also. you can use the 200 ah with any amount of solar, the 200 ah is the amount of power the battery can store. you will want to make sure you have a mppt controller for your solar and should switch out your charger/converter for a lifepo compatible model. It used to take me all day running the genny to recharge the SLA batteries for a night of use, with the lifepo an hour or 2 does it. and the weight savings is awesome, too. YMMV

Renogy lifepo4 battery sale
Your solar has no bearing on the battery use. 200 should provide more time. It’s like saying I have a 20 gallon per hour refill gas pump should I buy a 100 or 200 gallon tank ? 200 will just take longer , 2x the time to fill. It or any amount will fill it . If you only use 80 gallons a day the 200 is overkill but maybe it’s nice to have that extra capacity if you can afford it. For cloudy days ? You can always add more solar or use a quiet small generator to charge faster.
Having enough battery for your daily needs is your primary concern. The charging rate , in this case amount of solar is secondary.

How do you know the cutoff works?
Did you stick it in a freezer to verify? I doubt it was cold enough in August for it to kick in
After they were skewered online maybe they were shamed into making them right?
Will Prowse tore into one and proved it was not correct. Not going to look video up though, if your happy that is what matters.

Good points inthepines, my plan is to not charge them during the off season, just get them down to about 40% and turn them off, in the unlikely event i would want them during cold temps, i have them in an enclosed case that i could warm them with a small light bulb.
