Renogy's 100Ah 12V AGM Deep Cycle Battery on Sale

I just noticed that Renogy's 100Ah 12V AGM deep cycle batteries are on sale for $199.97, down from $269.99. I bought two on Amazon to replace my aging golf cart batteries. It will be nice to not have to constantly monitor the water level.

I see in the specs that the 100Ah rating is a 10 hr rating which is somewhat better than the standard 20 hr rating. How significant this is, I don't know.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

Depending on what credit card you use, you can get the warranty extended. My Costco Visa gave me an additional 24 months.

Renogy's 100Ah 12V AGM Deep Cycle Battery on Sale

Link doesn’t work for me. I also need golf cart batteries, been putting it off to make a decision about which way to go.

Edit: wow reviews are horrible for those.

I just bought two of them last month, seemed like a good deal to me. Over 1800 reviews with 78% at 5 stars. How is that horrible?

I agree, and, at 1,868 reviews, they have more reviews than most. If you add the 4 star reviews that's 89% positive. It's helpful to read some of the reviews, especially the negative ones. Often the 4 star reviews read pretty much the same as the 5 star reviews, some people (me included) are reluctant to give anything 5 stars. The details of the negative reviews are telling. Some reference definite problems, while others complain about things that have nothing to do with the battery's quality such as shipping damage (one mentioned a battery box that was broken in shipping), weight, etc. One

Amazon's choice of the "Top critical review" is a write-up on the advantages of LiFePO4 batteries. How is that a comment on the quality of a Renogy AGM battery?

Change the preference to most recent reviews and 5 of the first 10 are 1 star. I always look at most recent reviews in order to make a decision.

Top reviews is manipulated by likes of the review. So potentially manipulated by seller bringing them to top of the list.

I received two yesterday. They were in perfect condition, double boxed with foam all around in both boxes. They were fully charged. That takes care of some of the negative reviews.

I checked today and they're back up to full price.

Spec sheet tells the tale, we discussed this battery on rvforum.net a few days ago with charts and graphs. There is no equal among the many AGM true deep-cycle batteries sold for under $400 IMO.
I ordered 3 to replace my 5-yr old LA house batteries.

RobM show me a statistically better solar/deep-cycle battery and I'll cancel my order to buy a better deep-cycle battery, except, NO LIPO battery, AGM only.

I just reported what appeared to be a large amount of recent bad reviews which gave me pause. I hope all of your batteries are great. I missed out on the sale, can’t afford to take a chance.

Yesterday I accessed it via "my orders" on Amazon and it was back up to retail. Today it's back to $199.

If you want one, don't diddle daddle.

Do they need different charger/maintainer settings than a lead acid battery?
