Is there a forum where we can share our good/great experiences with various repair technicians while we are on the road?
We found a great one in St. Petersburg, FL.
Victor at MASTER APPLIANCE SERVICE - 727-739-2001 or 813-742-2001
Those of you who have needed one in the past know the CATCH 22 - most appliance shops won't work in an RV, and most RV shops won't work on appliances.
You need to search high and low to first find an RV technician willing to remove the fridge, or washer/dryer for repair, leave it sitting out in the middle for a few days until the rare appliance repair shop will arrive, then a few more days after repair to re-install. Each will charge for the service call, then labor.
Victor was prompt, called enroute and very knowledgeable getting right to the problem quickly. A LOOSE WIRE !!!
He was in & out in less than 3 hours, with the toughest part being the removal then re-install. He easily earned the $50 tip I gave, along with a pronise to pass his number on as I am doing here. Do we already have an owner's 'recommended list' somewhere? I know this can be abused, but properly managed could be extremely helpful. This made my day !!

Now comes my RANT -
Why don't the RV builders foresee these type problems and modify these residential units they select with more durable SIMPLE modifications in a RV unit that will be, as I was once told "repeatedly driven thru a hurricane"
I-10 westbound from TX as an example??? They buy these appliances hundreds at a time.
In Mesa, AZ call MANNY'S APPLIANCE REPAIR - 602-872-2027.
Ramon fixed my Whirlpool fridge in about 3 hrs. that 3 others told me needed to be replaced - thru the front windshield - for at least $3K in labor for that process alone !!! Then add the price of the fridge !!!
Let's work together on these challenges we all face. Agree ???
