Replaced toilet valve, now ball is stuck halfway open

Dometic 111, had a leaky valve so I replaced it last weekend. No more leaks but I feel like I might have reassembled the spring assembly wrong or something because the ball valve is now stuck halfway open. Is there something simple I can check since I'm camping this weekend?

Can you Manually close and turn off? Otherwise, suspect you will have to pressure down and disassemble to inspect? Sorry... and since you say "1/2 way open", assume it is not a designed position? Mine will lock Open w/ water flowing if cocked for clearing clog, by pulling to 100%, so you DO have to turn OFF water first to prevent overflow. It has this designed feature so you do not damage blade/ seal when clearing clogs.

You can force it to close, but it won't open all the way when you press the pedal. Feels like maybe something isn't engaging from the pedal to the ball

Flush ball shaft has to line up with the square in the spring cartridge and is fully engaged

Plus if you have tightened the water valve screws too tight it will inhibit flush ball movement

As stated above, loosen the spring cartridge bolts 1/2 turn.
