Hi Everyone,
My Coleman Mach 15 which was installed on Labor Day weekend 2019 of course stopped working Labor Day weekend 2021. A tech installed that one, not myself. It iced over and then wouldn't even do that, no cooling at all. Nothing was dirty so I could only conclude it lost the refrigerant. I've read about the valve mods, but I did not not want to get into that either.
Not wanting to get the same product that just failed on me, I went with Dometic Brisk II. I didn't do my homework on the difference thermostat and wiring as such, but went ahead and bought theirs.
I found this old post
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f54/cole...ap-399290.html and what I conclude is that the 12V power goes to the thermostat for the Coleman set-up, so this guy worked around it by running a short line from a light. I suppose I can do that I also have light close by, and there are ways I could cover that up in my very used RV.
The other thing is it looks like furnace connections are on the control box, not the thermostat. So I guess I'm stuck with not connecting that for now since there are only four wires to work with from the thermostat area to the roof if I need three to go to the thermostat itself.
Just posting for any other advice or experience with this.
If it matters, I have a '97 Winnebago Adventurer 37RW.
Thank you.
