Norcold seems to be the worse. As I recall, a few years ago they issued 3 or more recalls to fix the same problem.
The only advantage I see to a propane fridge is they can be quieter given some don't have fans. Otherwise, the safety and reliability of a residential fridge wins.
Yep, I saw that just last month at the Millers insurance booth at the Phoenix Good Sam rally so I guess the insurance company's are watching it also. In the Dutch Star we traded I put the Amish cooling unit in and it's not supposed to have the same problems as the OEM cooling unit, but that wasn't the question!
BTW: going from National General to what Millers quoted will save us $1,500 a year although he ded. goes from $500 to $1000 and glass from 0 to $100.
