Our refer is working fine after the Amish cooling unit install but I'm really thinking about making the change this fall/winter/spring. Guess it kind of depends on my DW's health/job or health/retirement.

Joe,

I went to the carpet store yesterday and picked out some carpet but they have someone else do the binding of the edges. I called him but have not heard back yet. I will get enough to do the slide and some extra (off a 12' roll) to do the misc. stuff.

I will post pics when it's done. The wood floor makes the Samsung pop with the stainless and winchester oak colors. It turned out pretty well.

Are you in Vagas now? Must be warmer.

I had given serious thought to leaving the panel off, but the way the air flows around and through the coils, i figured i better leave some of the original air flow management baffles in place.
to install the panel after it was in, i was able to screw in two of the upper screws and used alum duct tape to secure the sides i couldn't reach enough to re install the last two screws
this mornign when all was quiet i could hear the fridge kick on, I waited a few minutes and sure enough i could feel warm air coming out of the top air space vent and the additional side wall vent i put in.
still brainstorming a travel lock

Do you have room on the side from where the doors open to mount these?

They are clear in color so would blend in with the black color fridge.

Safety 1st Lock Release Fridge Latch (Pack of 2) | Overstock.com

You would only use these while driving. They are unlatched when needed.

ok we need a good laugh

sunday i foamed in the roof vent to make sure there was no more air leaks from outside
used two cans and then re-installed the vent cover

I remember thinking to my self...this stuff is not expanding very much
and chocked if off to being cold out

last night when we pulled up I could see what looked like a small hand or arm jutting out from the roof vent cover area
so this mornign i got a ladder and look what i found

Looks like something I might do. Good thing you stopped when you did.

Because of the skids under the slide, I have to use 3 luxury vinyl planks on the floor otherwise they would scratch the wood. I will post those later and how that works for those who have skids. On a previous coach that had laminate wood flooring, the slide was on rollers and it still scratched the floor a little. Dirt gets under the rollers and that's how it happens. The planks are a solution for that situation too. The planks are not a problem as they are easy to put down and take up and can be stored easily since they are very thin (1/4"). It's worth the little extra time to have real wood floors and that ugly, stinky old blue carpet is GONE. Like the Dometic fridge is GONE.

Thanks.

I got the carpet from a local dealer and they had a guy they use to do the binding of the front edge. I took the carpet to him and he had it ready the next morning. I had saved the old piece intact so he could get exact measurements. It went in perfectly.
