RV Water Pump Leak 12V Shut Off

Hi all - could not think of proper title. Yesterday my 12V water pump failed at the exit fitting. I fortunately returned before total disaster. To my question. Looking for a device that sits next to the pump. Any water (leak) detected on mount surface cuts the 12V power to the pump. Any ideas. Regards. Ed

Someone will likely chime in with a way to rig a relay to a water sensor. Best practice is to not have the water pump on when not with your Rv.

Agree - was outside getting ready to pack up - I had recently replaced the pump and put the responsibility on me. Ed

Maybe? Not sure if a probe is included, or not, but appears that it might be.

That is one of the convivences of using the pump......flip the switch and it is off

We turn it off when going to bed, going outside, leaving the RV etc
Becomes 'routine' once you get into the habit of it

City water flooded our RV when a cracked fitting on WH Tank hot out completely failed while we were sleeping. Water ran for hours.
New RV and FTng...........ugh!!!!!

Been using Fresh water tank/pump since then (2008) and just Flip the Switch.

This device not only quiets your water pump, but will detect and shut down if leaking.

Leaks can occur anytime anywhere just shut the pump off when not in use. I also turn off the hot water tank when not in use. It heats up quick enough.
