Samsung RF 18 fridge issue
I have a Samsung RF18 fridge in my 2018 Bounder 35P, the freezer went to 40°. We shall see if we push the Power Freeze and set it to -8°. Slowing going down, now at 28°
Hoping it goes to - 4°
But wondering why it went up?
Any ideas?

Is there food in it or is it empty? If empty without any mass, you are likely seeing a defrost cycle.

Where is the sensor mounted? If on the coils or back plate, they have to go above freezing to defrost.

In case you're not familiar with it, the Samsung RF18 is a residential fridge, not an RV fridge.

I'm the OP, and I know what kind of fridge it is. It's in my RV, and it is a residential unit installed in most Bounders. I think poster was responding to another person and not me.
Update: This AM freezer is at 8° and the fridge is 34°

Yes, I was aware that the RF18 is a residential fridge and it seems to be common especially for retrofits. I was asking about the temp sensor as I don't if it was part of the fridge or was added.

I don't know where the temperature sensor is located. The fridge came as a factory installation, not a retrofit. I'll check out the manual.

Was it warm long enough for the food to warm ice cream melting? Maybe there is jut too much information or maybe something was wrong, and it corrected. Is freezer air used to cool the fridge? Sudden load there? Sorry, I can't be more helpful.

That's because there isn't one, like what you'd see on a standard RV absorption type fridge.

What is the status of the drain tube? If it gets frozen up,it will cause problems with cooling.
