SeaLand Ball Valve Seal Replacement

It's time to replace the seal. It's ability to hold water has slowly degraded over the last year. No big deal. I don't have a camping supply place close by so I'm thinking of replacing valve, ball and seals at the same time.

I've found a couple good videos on replacing the seals and that seems pretty straight forward. Replacing the ball valve and shaft is something I haven't been able to find good info. I'm assuming I should be able to do that without any further disassembly of the toilet stand but I'm not sure of that. Removing the valve from the shaft is pretty simple so that isn't really an issue either.

Does anyone have any information on that part of the job?

The next hardest thing is finding the most, up to date, part numbers. LOL

I found pretty good instructions for changing the ball in the package with the ball.

Unless the ball is scratched, I would just try a seal. I also recently fixed mine by tightning the clamp with a 1/4" drive ratchet, rather then just a screwdriver.

I remember removing the screws that hold the water valve on them pulling the spring cartridge out. I turned the ball to get to the screw, that holds it to the brass shaft. Once that was out, the ball gets squeezed out of there.

Google Vacuflush. There are a few online venders that breakdown the parts.

Good luck
