Mini splits can be configured for one outside unit to supply coolant to multiple inside units. Might consider using two inside units which will cool one at a time without outside unit providing coolant. . . . on the other hand, I like the redundancy of two separate roof units cooling coach. They can run one at a time, both all out for REALLY hot days, or, here's what really adds the value for us, if one has a problem, you don't ruin your vacation by having no AC pending repairing the malfunctioning unit. Happened to us. A start/run capacitor died, I troubleshot, ordered a new cap, delivered three days later to next campground, put in, Charlie Mike. I'd have hated to spend those 3 days in Arizona in August, without ANY AC.

I have no roof acs. Removed to make room for solar. I have two seperate mini splits. Yes, I could have used 1 unit for multiple heads. The efficiency drops when you go past 12k. Also no 120v units past 12k.

Correct. They are both the existing rooftop A/C's.

Sorry about that. Thought someone was posting to you about a alternate unit. Didn't really read it. My bad.

No worries!
This is the mini-split I am getting.
I might get the multi zone with the 6000 BTU in the bedroom and the 9000 BTU in the main area.

Since I am super insulating my RV, I am thinking I can get away with the 9000 BTU. The 12,000 BTU SEER is 26. While 26 is still good, it is not as good as the 9000's 30 SEER and the 6000's 33 SEER.

Good luck, the seer rating is just how energy efficient the unit is. But 9000 btu's is the cooling ability. If you are stationary and cover the many windows your coach has, you might be able to get by, but there is a reason most coaches your size have either 27000 or 30000 btu's of cooling with units fwd and aft or connected with a duct system. Agree with Glen, one 9000 unit in the front or back of coach, will be great for the local area, but not for the other end of the coach. But hope you prove me wrong and it works great.

Take the first $50 for both and move on. They have no value and I wouldn’t want to feel guilty if they quit as soon as they were installed. Do the right thing and you will be rewarded in the future.
