I have a 2003 Four Winds Travel Trailer , that is parked at the camp ground all year, it does not move. I just bought it, there is skirting around the whole camper, and around back is a stone wall around the camper. The valves are hard/impossible to get to, unless I crawl on my stomach to the back of camper. There is a comfort station right across from site (not to clean), the previous owner mentioned that the toilet was barely used for "#2", they just went to comfort station. He was the only owner of the camper.
But, we would like to use the toilet in our camper (I have two daughters).
Should I just start off with pouring a couple of gallons of water done at the start of our stay, and then hook a hose to the side inlet to flush, before I leave.??
The sewer is hooked to the camp ground septic system
Any suggestions would be helpful

Look into cable or electric operated valves.

Why would you need to connect a hose if it's hooked to the CG septic system?

Do NOT leave waste tank dump valves OPEN

Use LOTS of Water when flushing toilet....LOTS of water

As for those hard to reach dump valves.....you need to extend handles to easy access area (side of trailer) via Cable Operated valves
Replace current valves with electric operated valves
Add an addition dump valve on dump header so you can easily operate it (leave other dump valves open and control dumping with new valve on header)
Continue crawling under trailer to operate valves

Leaving a trailer on a seasonal site all year is very common in our area. A lot of owners remove or by-pass the black tank, and install a conventional P trap like in a house so you can drain all the time. Most even replace the toilet with a residential style toilet.

Yes! You may even want to invest in a wand type sprayer. The problem with leaving the black water valve open is that all the liquids drain quickly and leaves the solids behind. Once they dry things begin to build up in the tank. Recommend filling the tank about half full with water driving it around, if possible. The sloshing action will help to break stuff loose. If you can’t do that, then let it sit for a few days with water in tank and add a chemical made for RV black tanks. Hope that helps. Good luck.
