Shower Hot And Cold Reversed
Our shower faucet has the hot and cold positions reversed. The mixing valve ball is asymmetrical thus precluding a simple 180 degree rotation.
Any ideas as to how to put this right without tearing the shower apart?
Thanks,

Rather than deal with this at the shower itself, do you have any access to the water lines as they travel to the shower? We had the hot and cold reversed on our washer and I was able to access them elsewhere, cut them and swap. Problem solved in a couple of minutes with no fuss.

If your coach uses a Manobloc Water Distribution system, I would do the switch there. A heck of lot simpler than tearing apart the faucet.
Mine is the second from the bottom.

Can you put the handle on the shaft so it swings from hot to cold via 6 o'clock rather than through 12 o'clock.

In our older (1997) Endeavor the supply lines are accessible thru a panel in the cabinet on the slideout. I replaced the faucet and the supply lines were connected with the typical hand tightened connectors .... easily swapped if necessary.

Thanks Joel and Richard. Yes, that will probably be the way I'll have to go. I was just hoping that someone had experience with this particular faucet that resulted in adjusting or replacing the multi-ported mixing ball. My coach does in fact have the Manabloc distribution panel and that is likely to be where I'll make the modification.

Thanks, Tony. I was hoping that would be possible. The kitchen sink faucet is that way and I had to reverse the hot and cold on it which was a trivial task. Unfortunately, this one is not constructed that way.

Thanks, Bruce, but as you can see in Richard's picture there is relatively easy access to the "pipes" at the distribution panel.
Thanks again to all of you for taking the time to respond.

Dave,
Depending on your particular model and floor-plan, sometimes there is a panel or mirror to gain easy access to the rear of the shower and faucet.
I think with my floor-plan I have to remove a mirror but have never attempted it and I am hoping that I never have to.

I replace a Moen brand mixer valve in our house. Then the hot and cold were reversed. Pulled the mixer out and turned it upside down and all was correct again. I put it in upside down to start with! Now if you didn't Change anything you may just have to swap the water lines. This was a one handle facet. All the work is done outside from the front.
