ShurFlo pump - Life expectancy?

I have a 2007 Forest River, it was a 2088-422-444 pump in it. The pump is dated 2007 also, so it's probably original equipment. I used to live on a boat and know that it would have been changed out by now because it would have been corroded - but this looks nice and clean. How many years could one expect a pump such as this to last? I'm wondering if I should have a replacement on board when I take off, which will be in January.

Many swear by them others swear at them. I am on my third 5.7 in 10 years. The 2nd was repairable so I carry it as a spare. Actually it still gets plenty of use pumping from a portable water tank when we are way off the grid. If either fails I will replace it. BTW, we often spend months at a time with no hookups and no expectation of prompt delivery or easy access to parts. Can't get along without a pump, and sometimes two. YMMV.

YMMV= "Your Mileage May Vary". Meaning in any given example your results may not be the same as mine.
