Slide Creeping Open While Driving
After driving about 30 miles, stopped for fuel and during my walk around I notice my one big living room slide had come out about a 1 inch at the bottom.
What would cause this and is it a simple fix I can do myself?
2007 American Tradition.

I once owned a bounder that had a lever on the slide motor. If the lever was flipped one way the slide was free to move, flipped the other way it would not move. The lever was automatically disengaged when the slide motor was used.

I am having the same issue with my 02 Eagle. I have not been able to resolve it yet. The motor does have a brake lever on it, but it is engaged. And, like yours, the slide only come out just a little. Never any more than that regardless of how long I have been driving or how rough the road is.

Yup, VERY annoying.
Been searching the internet to see if the slide motor brake can be adjusted.
Is it like a nut under the cover that could be tightened a little?
I don't want to pull off the plastic cover for no reason.
I have to open the slide about a foot or so and then close it to get it to seal tight at the bottom.
Maybe someone will have some experience with this and have a simple fix and post it...……………………….

On my motor the brake is a lever. I don’t see and adjustment. It is either engaged or not. I am starting to think that my motor is getting tired and not holding the slide enough.

On my previous MH I had the electric slides and the brake lever looked like it was in the right position but when I flipped it and back there was a definite difference in the feel of the lever going into the lock position. It is only about 1/4 of a turn to lock or unlock. The manual for mine told me which way to move it to lock.

As je stated. Hydraulic is very differemt. Could be a solenoid slightly leaking.
Check the manual but on mine the lever could be moved with the slide open or closed.
Who is the Mfg of the slide motor?
p.s., Power Gear Manual and page 4 has a picture of brake.

That happened on my 35 National pusher on trip from.Yosemite (very curvy roads).
The coiled 30amp on.top.of my BBQ was disengaging the lever as I cornered. I moved stuff around and zip tied the lever in the lock position. Never had problem again.
