Smart Jack

Can someone help me with a Lippert Smart Jack. It appears to not be getting power. I assume there is an in line fuse somewhere but for the life of me, I can not find it. The battery is fully charged. It is on a signature by forrest river bumper camper. Thank you in advance for any suggestions

There should be an inline fuse holder , between the battery and the jack , last one I worked on it was under the frame , only visible when laying on the ground.

Well , thanks for the thanks , I see you've found and checked the fuse , next is to check the ground wire , then power at the switch , into and out of ; when you've done those tests , internal issues with the jack motor is the most likely issue.

I do hope your testing with a multimeter or a 12 volt test light , because when it comes to fuses " Looks good, isn't good enough ! " it has to test good.

Thank you, Skip426
I have checked fuse with a meter. Learned that lesson before. The jack is on a new unit and is still under waranty, so do not want to open the jack up, so then they will say that since someone else has been inside it is voided. So all that I see going into or coming from the jack is a single red wire. About a size 10. Ground is good.

Powered Operation
The hitch height MUST be set in the memory prior to normal operation of the Smart Jack™. If the hitch
height is not set in the memory, the Smart Jack™ and trailer will not function as intended.
Note: The battery indicator light (Fig. 1C) flashes or oscillates to validate certain functions of the Smart
Jack™. The light also displays the remaining battery charge of the trailer.

Setting Hitch Height Memory
1. Press and hold the up arrow (Fig. 1A) and down arrow (Fig. 1B) at the same time for a minimum of five
seconds to store the vertical position of the Smart Jack™.
2. The battery indicator lights (Fig. 1C) will flash five times to show that the new position has been
successfully stored in memory.
