I am considering installing a 100 Watt solar panel on my 2005 Imperial 42 Foot Model DSQ There are red and black 8 gage wires coming down from the roof vent, but I can not find where they go to a connection panel in the coach. I plan to connect a dual controller to charge both house & chassis batteries, but can't find where the coach is prewired to install the controller? So far, the tech people at HR have not been able to help. Any comments or suggestions?

First let me welcome you to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. THe controller can just go in series and 8 gage wire if far more than enough to carry the load. You should be able to ohm out the conductors to loacate termination and verify identification. Most likely the conductors are run to the battery bank area. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
