Splendide 2000 water pump noise while drying

Maybe a strange question, but our vented 2000 (still works fine) runs the water drain pump while drying. I have seen other posts that indicate this is normal. Mine runs for about 9 seconds, then off for 8 seconds. It does this always while on dryer cycle.

My issue is the noise drives me insane . Has anyone opened one of thee up and installed a switch for the water pump? I would switch it on once in a while to drain any stray water, but have it off the rest of the time. Do not know if this will cause issues with the control circuits.

Don't what to trash it just for the noise until it dies.

I would double check to make sure the vent is clear and working properly. Otherwise water is condensing and causes the pump to run.

I would think that one of the error checks would be to assure that the drain pump is connected. Otherwise the tub could fill with water with no way to drain it.

Our Splendide 2100XC drain pump also runs occasionally while on Dry but it's nowhere near that often.

Turn the TV volume up.

Check the debris catcher in front of the pump , coins and other pocket related items could be slowing the drain , or even contacting the pump impeller to raise the noise level .

Mine is exactly as you have stated. Annoying to say the least.
