What powder detergent do you use and have good luck with.
Splendide or Other

We have been using Charlie's Soap for years. Neither of us like the fake scent of lots of laundry soap. Even while I was working some times I'd come home with grease all over it always cleaned my cloths up. Meets the HE specs for the Splendiee too. In the small capacity of the Splendiee we just cut back the amount some. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B072C4...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

I use the same liquid soap I use in the front loader at home. Just cut back on amount.
Great value from Sams Club.

Tide liquid, just a couple of tablespoons, a bit less for less than full load.
Too much soap residue will yield slightly sticky lint, which in turn contributes to the clogging of the internal ductwork.

The key is to use a small amount because the machine is small. We had a jar of pods. Cut them open one at a time and dissolved the powder in a small fresh water bottle. With that we could regulate how much soap was used. My wife still likes running two rinse cycles to get all the soap out of our clothes.

I use Charlies as well, I've only used powder in my unit. Seems like liquid you end up pouring too much in. I also have a water softener by ProAqua so that makes a huge difference in all my plumbing! I do use liguid fabric softener, just a little bit, Free and Clear.

I know not to use too much of anything detergent is key. Has anyone tried the Splendide detergent? It’s right up there in price per load with others. Price isn’t really the concern but ease of getting the proper amount in the mashine as to not over suds is, and Splendide tells you the proper amount for these small tubs. Some of you put it in the machine instead of the dispenser? I can see the issue with the powder not getting all dissolved in the dispenser so we may do the same.

We use All Free or Tide liquid. Much easier for us to use than powder.

Curious, what is the reason for using powder detergent?

The Splindide combo units do not require nearly as much soap as a home washer. The instructions say to use a "HE" detergent. We use nothing but Tide HE liquid...no powder, no pods.
Follow the instructions manual and you will stay out of trouble.

For me it’s the mess storing the measuring cup. But I use to just leave it in the washing machine and remove it when the wash was finished, but not in a combo unit.

We use the Splendide dry powder in the coach and the house too. It works great, doesn’t have any perfumes or dyes in it, and has never created caked up residue in either machine.
The S&B has a old school Speed Queen top load. Motorhome has a newish Splendide
