Splendide washer/dryer combo
Lately we have notice out door release has gotten pretty tough to open, I'm a little reluctant to try to disassemble door and wondered if others have had similar problem and how they resolved.

Just a WAG on my part but I'd suspect the physical mechanism is likely fouled with foreign objects (dust, dog hair, detergent).
Before disassembly ... if you agree that may be the case ... then try flushing it out with lubes and/or solvents. Do be prepared to catch the "drippings".
Failing that I'd wait until the problem was so severe that it wouldn't matter if my disassembly went awry.

Here's a Service Training Manual that might help you.

Thanks for the manual. Perfect timing. My wife says ours is doing something funny so I need to take a look and this should help. I will save a copy for sure..

Be very careful with the plastic handle. Ours broke and their very hard to find and expensive if you do.

I had the handle break on our W/D combo while trying to open the door. Once it broke, the latching mechanism inside of the door was somewhat difficult to force a release. Once I got the door open, I removed the door from the unit. I then disassembled the door to find out what was the issue. I seem to remember that it was a spring problem. At that point, the handle was broken. I ordered a new one from Westland in Oregon who is the service center for Splendide.

Our Spendide door was getting difficult to open.
Used my favorite lubricant (Boeshield T-9) spray and it has been easy to open for the past 2 years.
We use the unit on a regular basis and find it a very nice resource to have on the coach.

I see you have a later model MH. This may be the Training Service Manual you need.

Now that is service. I really appreciate you took the time to notice and post the manual. It too is now in my files.
I read through the first one and it gave me lots of insight.
Thanks again.

The door is actually very easy to disassemble. When our latch broke I was able to repair it using J-B Weld. That was over a year ago and it is still working fine. Actually it works better now than it did new.
