start switches for gen set

we have a 7000 onan and the start button in front will not start the genset. The controls in the bedroom will start it. The switch on genset will start the generator also. The controls up front light up when gen is running and will turn gen off but will not start the gen. Has the front switch controller failed?

If it is a Carling rocker switch like mine, it can be removed, taken apart, and contacts cleaned. I have done that to several of my switches and they all work again.

Re Taking the switch apart....

On my Damon, I do not know what kind of switch. (Can you post photo?)

And how hard is it .. On mine the switch works,, but the light not so much.

The PIN-Out on the switch might do the job too. add-a-indicator is a simple task.
