Stay Longer Propane Adapter Install

We are getting ready to install stay longer valve. All the videos of installation are on tanks that sit parallel to the side of vehicle. Our 1999 Monaco diplomat. Propane tank sits parallel to the axles. Little tiny access door on inside wall of storage compartment. If anyone could send a few tips on their experience with this project would be appreciated. We camp for 6 months on same site and moving to fill tank is a major inconvenience, as is not using hot water heater or stove because the tank is so low. Thanks for any help you can provide.

If it's acsessable from underneath, you could possibly install the "Extend-A-Stay" and run a remote line out to a spot that is easy to hook up the remote tank.

Any propane shop should be able to tell you if it will meet code or not. That may be the fly in the ointment.

Many of the tanks built with remote fill valves don't have POL fittings on them.

A POL fitting is what comes on Extend A Stay tees and most other propane hoses.

You need to see what you have on your vapor valve. It may only require a standard NPT ( National Pipe Thread ) Tee, after the regulator, and a hose to a quick connect.

Able to access tank through a 6"x6" door. Required a contortion artist to complete installation. Our 35 pounder is near empty and needed to ensure fridge would keep running during storm-related power outages using extra 20 lp tank. Used it for Hotwater heating a few times but it serves our purposes. We are seasonal campers at the park, have screens and fences set up for our pup and it would have been a nightmare to uproot it and absolutely no mobile service available.
