Sticky vinyl T between tub lip and plywood

Hi Everyone

I'm pretty confident this is an easy one once someone tells me the right words to search for. The tiny sit-in tub in my 1989 23' Class C has a kind of vinyl T fitting that transfers load from the tub edge to the thin plywood that makes up the tub surround. The stem of the T fits between the tub and the plywood, and the arms of the T stick to the tub side and the plywood.

Mine is old, cracked, and had lots of sharp edges so I removed it. I thought it was just a waterproof transition from tub to surround, but it actually served a structural purpose. Now the edge of the tub flexes down when I press on it. Can anyone on the board give me some keywords to search for? I can't find anything.

Thanks,
Jim

Searches along those lines return a bunch of t-molding that used to put a nice edge on plywood table tops. That's a bit different from what was on the tub, but maybe it will work. I'll buy some and try it out.

Thanks!

If one is ever in need of t-molding, there exists t-molding.com to help (of course). It's definitely not the stuff that was in there previously. The stem of the t is thicker and the shape of the arms of the t is slightly curved. But I opened up the gap between tub lip and plywood surround using an oscillating multi tool and judicious use of clamps seems to have carried the day. Thanks for your help, Mr. Caldwell.
