Usually fill mine at Love's that is 5 miles from my storage facility. I have also filled at campgrounds.

Stupid Propane Question
You’ll find there’s not much standardization as to propane tank location in RVs, left or right, nor is there any standardization among sellers as to which side of the road they locate their tank.
You’ll also find you can use Google Maps to find places with bulk propane to service your MH tank. Just look for the white sausage shaped tank on the truck stop or Tractor Supply property and you will see how you should approx, if you can, for the proper connect. Below is an aerial photo of a Luv’s, for example

Agree with MrMark, we use some RV parks and a nearby bulk retailer for most fill up's.
The "convenience" store near our house also fills tanks, but nothing convenient about their prices. I've never tried Loves, but would if it was a nearby option.

Noticed you said "as long as the hose reaches"...i do not have additional hoses. Have no problems getting a hose...but I would think the fill station would have the hose.
Thank You everyone for all of the great ideas!!!

Can you just roll up to a propane place and ask for a "fill up"?

Check with a place like TSC, Tractor Supply, I have seen some do it for people.

The re-fill station shown in the picture above isn't well placed for RVs towing cars, unless it has a real long hose.
Toads can not be backed up more the a few feet and not in a turn.
The filling station hose is set by the place. There are no add on extensions that can be used. The control valve must be near the tank, so the operator can monitor the bleed valve and gauge.

That’s the point, twin. That’s at a Luv’s Truck Stop, and it is poorly placed for every function except filling BBQ tanks. You would think they’d know better. That’s why it’s important to do the aerial scan, see what’s up.
