Suburban Furnace SF42F

2003 Alpenlite 36RL Portofino Fiver.

Little bit of a maintenance question. I have a problem with the suburban furnace (sf42f) blower assy. Is there any way to access and remove/replace the fans and motor from the outside? All instructions, videos, ect. that I find the furnace is always on the bench and any that show the removal of furnace it's from inside the unit. If you own this Alpie model you know in their infinite wisdom the company installed the furnace in the basement and there is a "wall" separating the storage area from the appliance area. A pure PITA! Access requires emptying the storage area. Have skinny grand daughter crawl in and remove umpteen thousand screws to remove wall panel. Then some how I or my son well need to wrestle the furnace out while laying on my/his belly. I shudder to think of the reinstallation. Surely there is another way to do this. Any help will be highly appreciated. TIA.

I just replace the blower motor in my sf42 last week. The furnace has to come out and the whole outer shroud has to come off. There are a couple of screws that come out and the whole shroud slides off the guts of the furnace. Then you can get at the screws that holds the blower assembly on. Good luck
