Surburban oven pilot won't stay lit - have replaced thermocouple and oven control
Thermocouple measured good with output of about 30 mV but system is intermittant. I lit pilot one day and it would stay on when I let out the control knob. A couple days later I was going to check how accurate the temp setting was and couldn't get the pilot to stay on. I could lit it with the button held in but it wouldn't stay on. Got a replacement valve (used said to be salvaged from units that had shipping damage, seller had good reviews). Same thing so I got a new thermocouple and tried that with old valve - no go. Assembled with new thermocouple and replacement valve and it initially worked so I put things back together to check temp accuracy. It ran for a few minutes - didn't time it so don't know exactly but temp of oven got up to about 250 (set for 350). At that point I noticed the burner and pilot were out and I couldn't relight.
The burners seem to be fine. I am going to observe a burner if I can get the oven relit to see if the burner flame goes down at all when things quit. Going to check tank levels - don't think that's the issue but not much else to check.
Any ideas?
